Re-Sodding
Morgan's has over 5 decades in the lawn and landscaping industry. Proper site prep and product selection is often overlooked and the #1 contributor to new landscape failure.
Morgan's can assist in the applications of non-selective herbicides prior to new sod installation. This is a critical part in keeping weedy grasses like Bermuda grass from reinvading your newly installed grass. In some cases multiple applications of non-selective herbicide is required to achieve a proper kill off.
Irrigation inspections and marking of sprinkler heads is imperative before the removal process is started. This helps to minimize damages to the existing irrigation system and helps to limit needed repairs before the new grass is installed.
After the new grass is installed the new lawn should be treated for pest and disease. New grass is new to you, not new like a brand new car. The grass you receive is from a farm and has been recently harvested. It will need to be watered daily which can promote disease conditions. Also new grass often comes with pest which is why treatment is recommended as soon as possible after completion.
Landscaping and Installation
Choosing landscaping that thrives in your local environment is always our recommendation. Often we see landscape failure because of improper plant selection. For example choosing Plant A. that loves water and Plant B. that prefers dryer conditions and placing them right next to each other.
This is a recipe for disaster and we can help guide you in the right direction.
Proper plant selection is imperative for a long lasting and healthy landscape.
Soil Testing
Morgan's can help you with testing your soil. When you have done everything you can to solve a problem and you just can'tbe satisfied, check your soil. Most problems in lawn and landscapes are directly related to irrigation, pest, disease, or environmental issues. When you have exhausted all means to a better landscape and still hitting the wall, check the soil. In some cases we will find an extreme imbalance in the soil Ph or nutrient content. You can only see this by checking the soil with a soil test.
